Ukrainian evacuees in Japan learn how to create NFT digital art

A group of Ukrainian refugees in Japan learned how to create digital works of art and authenticate them using the latest technology.

A private organization helping evacuees held a seminar on non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on Monday. The event was part of an effort to help Ukrainians find jobs in Japan.

NFTs are essentially digital tokens that serve as proof of identity for their own assets. NFT-certified artwork finds buyers all over the world.

About 10 Ukrainians attended the seminar in Tokyo. They learned how to create digital artworks and tokenize them using NFT technology.

One participant said that he made the work thinking about life in Bucha and praying for the end of the war. She said she wants to create more works of art.

Seiichiro Kabashima, a well-known AI artist, served as a tutor for the seminar. He said he hopes that Ukrainians will master this skill so that they can express their ideas internationally and become economically independent in Japan.
