Polium, a company focused on Web3 games, announced on Monday the release of Polium One, a multi-chain game console that supports eight blockchains and NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). Compatible with Solana, Polygon, Ethereum, Immutable X, EOS, Harmony, and WAX blockchains. The company has established itself as a company that “builds products and infrastructure for Web3 games.”

Not much information about console specifications has been published. However, the specifications listed include that the console supports 4K Ultra HD resolution at 120 frames per second. Polium also claims that the community will help develop console hardware and software, and functional prototypes will be available in “months.”

The price of the console has not been announced yet. However, Polium will issue a Polium Pass NFT. This allows the owner to charge the console on the first day of the official release. The passholder receives an additional NFT. It can bet on the PLAY token, which is the console’s native token for trading in the Marketplace app in the future.

The company also states that the “Polium One” console includes its own multi-chain crypto wallet and a wallet button on the controller to help users make more efficient transactions. The controller’s fingerprint scanner enables the security and verification of console transactions.
Polium will distribute approximately 10,000 consoles to Polium Pass owners and partners when it first launches in the third quarter of 2024. More units of the console will be created for the general public in the third quarter of 2025. Polium has set a sales target of 1 million units. The company is already facing a backlash with a logo similar to another well-known platform, the Nintendo GameCube. Polium claims that it has not duplicated the logo and is currently working on a new “original” logo.
