The XFL’s 2023 resurrection campaign continues. This time, the alternative soccer league is challenging the Metaverse.
According to a trademark lawyer Mike CondudisOn April 4, XFL filed multiple trademark applications for the terms “X” and “XFL.” Official trademark documents suggest that the company aims to incorporate the NFT marketplace with virtual products and experience into future plans.

The XFL restarted for the second season in 2020, 19 years after the first campaign. Eight teams participated and received remarkable support from the team’s fan base. Unfortunately, like many other businesses, the company was forced to file for bankruptcy because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since that move, XFL owners have planned a major revival for the 2023 season, and entry into the Metaverse is a major part of the puzzle. Stay tuned for future updates. This campaign will continue to come true.
