New Year, New NFT Sales: 2023 Kicks Off With a Bang, Up 26% in First Week

Bored Apes Dominates the NFT Market: Collection Sales Hit $19 Million, Up 52.82% From Last Week

NFT sales statistics show a 26.01% increase in the first week of the new year compared to the final week of 2022. Across 19 different blockchain networks, NFT sales totaled $208.99 million, while Ethereum earned him $164.35 million.

Ethereum-backed NFTs saw a 26.22% increase in sales this week, followed by Solana (+28.8%), Immutable X (+20.83%), Cardano (+35.97%), and BNB (+71.35%). BNB posted its biggest gain over the past seven days with a 71% gain, while Theta posted his second biggest gain this week with a 69.82% gain.

Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) had $19,052,102 in NFT collection sales last week, up 52.82% from the previous week. Captains, Azuki, Bored Ape Kennel Club (BAKC) and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) followed BAYC. In 7-day NFT sales by collection, Cryptopunks and Mineablepunks were 6th and 7th respectively.

The Mineablepunks NFT collection was the source of the top 5 most expensive NFTs sold this week. Mineablepunks #11,467, #11,755, #11,467, and #11,467 are in the top five. Over the past week, the Mineablepunks NFT collection has sold $5,498,938, down 49.50% from the previous week.

As of January 8, 2022, BAYC NFT still held the highest floor value at 81.49 Ether, according to statistics. At 1:30 p.m. ET Sunday, Cryptopunks had a floor value of around 66.88 Ether, which was lower than his BAYC floor value at the time.
