Hyosung America will add Digital Mint’s crypto purchase service to the following API-based app stores built for its ATMs as part of the transaction announced at Tuesda.

However, it is up to the particular ATM operator to incorporate DigitalMint’s services. This means that the majority of Hyosung’s 175,000 ATMs are unlikely to actually support BTC purchases.

Brad Nolan, CMO of Hyosung America, said the API-based app store not only offers ATM operators the opportunity to sell BTC, but also the opportunity to host new services.

“The app store allows ATM operators using retail software platforms to subscribe and download apps such as DigitalMint, allowing them to do more with ATMs and new to operators and partner retailers. Bring a source of revenue. ”

Given the size of Hyosung America’s ATM network, it has the potential to provide significant customer exposure to Digital Mint’s services. It’s unclear if the duo plans to start further collaboration, but consider that DigitalMint offers crypto purchase services for only two crypto assets.

Hyosung America is a North American subsidiary of South Korean company Hyosung, Inc. and claims to be “the largest provider of ATMs” in the United States. The company hasn’t played any other notable cryptocurrency play, but given that it’s working on an API-based app store, more cryptocurrency partnerships could continue.
