Experience the cutting edge intersection of art and technology
Summary: An outdoor art installation at the India Art Fair 2023 will debut a large-scale computational art installation supported by the Tezos Foundation in partnership with Tezos India. A live and dynamic installation titled “Computational Convergence” will showcase generative NFT artworks by artists from Karthik Dondeti, Pixelkar, Aranya and KALA that visitors can freely collect on the Tezos blockchain via smartphones. increase. With four 8-foot-tall kiosks at Tezos India, each with his 800 editions of digitally-generated NFT art for each artist, with a total of 3,200 unique algorithm-generated masterpieces, visitors to the fair will be able to visit India this year. Free to collect via smartphone during the art fair. Tezos India also hosts a workshop, Computational Thinking, for artists who wish to explore how computational techniques can be applied to enhance their artistic practice and create more innovative works.
The outdoor art installation ‘Computational Convergence’ at the India Art Fair 2023, supported by the Tezos Foundation in collaboration with Tezos India, introduces computational art to IAF attendees and galleries, at the cutting edge intersection of art and technology intended to be experienced for the first time. A large-scale installation in an outdoor public space. The installation showcases a generative NFT collection designed by four talented artists: Karthik Dondeti, Pixelkar nando, Aranya (Ritesh Lala), and KALA (Ujjwal Agarwal), outlining the ‘History of Computational Arts’ on the front. Introduce a giant infographic that wall.
The project aims to raise awareness of the art form by showcasing the full range of decades of computational art practice, with a focus on the fx (hash) of the Tezos blockchain. Tezos India has four 8-foot-tall kiosks, with 800 editions of each artist’s digitally-generated NFT art, for a total of 3,200 unique algorithmically-generated masterpieces, and visitors to the fair will be You can freely collect them via your smartphone at the art fair. Tezos India’s team is onsite to help people create blockchain wallets and collect their algorithmically generated creations. These works are fx (hash) and objkt.com.
This year, featuring a wealth of artwork curated by participating galleries, this section will focus on the artwork of notables such as Karthik Dondeti, Pixelkar nanésarn्त, Aranya (Ritesh Lala) and KALA (Ujjwal Agarwal) .
Karthik Dondeti is an architect and generative artist based in Bangalore, India, holds an MDesS in Design and Technology from Harvard Graduate School of Design and a B.Arch from SPA, Delhi.

Argoscape | Rockface by Karthik Dondeti (@d0ndeti), 2023, built with P5js. Algoscapes | Rock-face builds on previous work (Algoscapes) to algorithmically generate landscapes. This artwork is an attempt to capture the essence of naturally occurring rock faces through geometry and code.
It is an attempt to reflect on the complexity of natural formation processes, a diverse vocabulary, from the jagged edges of mountain peaks to the flowing lines of canyon walls carved by rivers. The result is a constantly evolving range of colors and shapes that are reminiscent of the natural world.
Pixelkar नितान्त is a computer artist from India who blends art, design and technology in his work. With her design background in interiors, her Pixelkar brings her unique 3D perspective to art, drawing inspiration from grids and patterns found in nature and Indian arts and crafts.

Rangxel by Pixelkar नितान्त | | WahooArt.com Rangoli is a generative art project that combines the traditional Indian art form with modern digital technology. This project generates patterns using a set of rule-based algorithms that follow the traditional rules of Rangoli formation, such as symmetry, repeating patterns, and themes. Create Rangoli-inspired monolithic structures using pixelated voxels.
The project also incorporates the mathematical structure of the Tesseract, adding a futuristic and otherworldly dimension to art. The patterns generated in this project are inspired by his natural three-dimensional grids found in nature, such as crystals and honeycombs, and combine traditional and contemporary rangoli where the traditional rules of rangoli are respected in the digital medium. It creates a unique fusion of art forms. “
Aranya (Ritesh Lala) is a New Media Artist based in New York. Growing up in Ahmedabad, India, he was deeply influenced by ancient South and East Asian algorithmic structures. He has a background in digital signal processing and received his master’s degree in media arts and technology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Flow Meditations by Aranya (Ritesh Lala) | | WahooArt.com A series of digital meditations informed by flow states. To flow is to expand and contract with the inner waves. The chaos of intertwined particles is unencumbered by deep breathing and relaxation. With permission to flow, patterns emerge.
To meditate on this artwork, keep your eyes moving slowly so that you don’t get stuck on one point. When thoughts come to mind, gently let go and return to your work. Bring your attention back to the act of looking moment to moment. Flow can occur in a variety of ways: turbulent, synchronous, cyclical, transient, converging, diverging, rising, decaying, or a mixture of any of these.
KALA (Ujjwal Agarwal) is a multidisciplinary new media artist who uses art and technology to create meaningful real-time experiences. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from his MNIT in Jaipur and a Master of Arts in Computational Arts from Goldsmiths University in London.

The Yoni Project by KALA (Ujjwal Agarwal) | | WahooArt.com The Yoni Project is a generative artwork that explores the concept of the yoni, a Sanskrit word for female reproductive organs, which was used in various Indian religions and other ancient cultures as a goddess. It is often used as a symbol of and as a source of life.
This project aims to pay homage to the concept of Shakti’s Divine Feminine, the embodiment of energy, power and creativity. The focus of this project is women’s empowerment and self-discovery. It is intended to inspire thought and conversation about the role of women in our society.

As an additional initiative, royalties from the Yoni Project will be donated to the Renjin Kidoki Foundation, a youth-led feminist organization based in Kolkata. They focus on the sexual and reproductive health and rights of adolescents and young people and also work with other stakeholders such as parents, teachers and community organizations from marginalized backgrounds. With a pleasure-affirming lens, the group promotes gender equality, inclusion and diversity with a strong focus on human rights and gender justice.they can be found online https://rangeenkhidki.in/
tech x art
This exhibition presents an impressive collection of projects and installations that fuse technology and art, allowing viewers to explore and experience the possibilities of digital art. The work of his four digital artists at the Indian Art Fair will be featured in a special section along with a workshop titled ‘Computational Thinking’. The purpose of this workshop is to persuade participants to participate in a computational thinking session specifically tailored for aspiring artists and art lovers. Workshop facilitators Karthik Dondeti and Pixelkar examine how the use of computational tools can improve artistic practice and produce more avant-garde work. Participants will gain knowledge on how to manipulate, visualize and analyze data to inspire creativity and incorporate computational thinking into the creative process.
Attendees can sign up onsite and bring supplies such as graph paper, pencils, clipboards, erasers, and a 6-inch ruler. Twenty people will be selected from the participants for the presentation-style workshop. All events take place in workshops/audience halls. The outdoor art installation is presented as a presentation using a representation of an artist’s step-by-step process to create a generative art collection.
