Late British music industry icon David Bowie will be selling some of his first NFTs to fund an iconic humanitarian act.David Bowie Estate on September 13th release “Bowie on the Blockchain” NFT by OpenSea.

Web3 venture We Love the Arts and film producer Joaquin Acrich also collaborated on the project. Her 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the estate will be donated to CARE, a global non-profit organization for which Bowie’s widow Iman serves as her advocate.
We Love the Arts co-founder Andrew Keller, when choosing artists for this project, considered the type of art Bowie was drawn to and his support of up-and-coming and lesser-known artists. He says he was inspired by the effort. FEWOCiOUS, JAKE and Pussy Riot’s girlfriend Nadya Tolokonnikova are also participating artists.

Keller also alludes to some of the NFTs, such as the work of FEWOCiOUS. This is accompanied by a stunningly huge Fewocious sculpture of him in one of Bowie’s suits from the archives.
