A new record for NFT sales on the XRP Ledger was set today.As reported by On XRPan XRPL-based modular ecosystem, one of the items in the “XRPL Punks” collection sold for 108,900 XRPworth $44,000.
The sale was the result of a public auction for Xpunk #8811, according to the collection’s official Twitter account. Without disclosing the name of the purchaser, it was stated that the person was known to the community.

XRPL Punks Collection, or Xpunks, a tribute to the already legendary irreplaceable CryptoPunks collection and one of the hottest in XRPL. Xpunks alone have so far traded 1.78 million XRP since the long-awaited XLS-20 amendment went into XRPL this fall.
Interestingly, the second most popular collection is a reference to another legendary NFT collection, the Bored Ape Yacht Club. The Bored Apes XRP Club is one-half, but still has a trading volume of 866,533 XRP.
